2020 July 23 Prayer Chain

Thursday

Be safe – Be Considerate – Wear A Mask

Welcome, family and friends to our daily journal. Share it with your friends. It is a way of remembrance for us and a point of connection for you.

It was a truly lovely sunrise.

We just heard this morning that two of our friends are in need of prayer. Neither of them want their names given because of privacy issues.

Friend one has tested positive for Covid 19. He is asymptomatic. However, before being tested, his daughter and granddaughter had spent the weekend with him. Now all three are quarantined.

Friend two is a dear sweet man who had been suffering for months with disabling gout. When finally persuaded to go to the doctor, it was also discovered that his major arteries are severely blocked. Because of other health issues, including being diabetic, they are unable to operate. The prognosis is he has 6 – 8 months to live.

Please pray for these men and their families. Pray for healing or strength to get through it. Pray that God’s will be done.

For lunch I made creamy potato soup. Watch TODAY’S VIDEO.

THROW BACK THURSDAY

This portion was originally published July 23, 2016,

Which was Christmas in July at Cutty’s Campground in Iowa. “I dressed as Santa so kids could get their photos taken with me.

Even though I have a lighter weight suit for summer use, it was still plenty warm. It’s hard to say who had more fun, the kids or I.

In the evening, I went on three hayrack rides around the park with the kids. I wore red shorts, red t-shirt, the Santa jacket (open), and the Santa hat. We tried singing Christmas songs but the tractor was too loud. We all just waved at the campers as we went past.”

God bless and g‘day.
