We were up and on the move early this morning. I had an appointment to have my head examined. Literally. I traveled 55 miles to the VA hospital in Temple Texas for a CT scan that took a couple of minutes.
With some misdirection and some good direction, we made it to the 4th floor neurology department with about 15 minutes to spare.
The good news was, there was no one ahead of me. The bad news was, there was no one there at all. I pulled out the postcard from the VA and double checked it. Yep, 4th floor neurology department. Oh. For Wednesday the 10th.
Then I checked the email from the VA. Saturday the 6th at 9 a.m. – 1st floor Imaging Department. I still made it to the right place, on the right day, and on time.
The whole purpose was to find the reason for the tremors in my hands and arms. And, of course, if there is anything that can be done about the shakiness. I suspect it may have to do with family genetics or predisposition. But I really want to rule out some serious medical conditions.
We arrived home in time to have an honest to god home cooked meal. I believe that this is the first meat, potato, and vegetable meal i’ve made in the apartment. I’ve “heated” some meals and maybe made some “1 pan” meals. But this was a meal.
Notice what you DO NOT see in this photo? The washer, dryer, and water heater. The curtains and curtain rods came yesterday. I had installed them but didn’t documented it, at the time, with a photograph.
I also installed a high rod in the coat closet. That way we can hang some of our longer garments, things like Ella’s dresses and our Santa clothes.
