Well, I thought I’d sleep in but the dogs had other plans. I even let them outside to do their morning business, gave them their morning medications, and fed them. And then I went back to bed. However, they had other ideas. They stood at the bedroom door and whined, grumbled, and barked until I got up. Who is really in charge here?
Day 🌞 79⁰ Patchy dense fog this morning. Partly cloudy. Breezy with highs in the upper 70s. South winds 20 to 25 mph with gusts up to 🌬️35 mph🌬️
Night 🌚 50⁰ Partly cloudy in the evening then becoming mostly clear. Lows in the upper 40s. South winds 15 to 20 mph, becoming northwest after midnight. Gusts up to 🌬️35 mph🌬️
There was no sunrise because of the fog this morning. Maybe that’s why I felt like it wasn’t time to get up and stay up.
In less than an hour later the fog had lifted but everything was still gray.
Today’s reading began with 2 Samuel 13 where David’s son Amnon raped his sister Tamar. I read through the end of David’s song at 2 Samuel 22:51.
I sliced the first loaf (out of three) of my soda bread, all ready for the party to begin. We managed to devour nearly two of the loaves. The third I think I’ll leave for Arik and Jenny and family when they return from their travels.
There were plenty of cookies and other dessert items.
