Day        87°     Cloudy. Highs around 90. Northwest winds around 5 mph becoming east this afternoon.
Night     65°     Mostly cloudy in the evening then becoming partly cloudy. Lows in the mid 60s. East winds around 5 mph becoming north after midnight.

This morning we took a drive to Round Rock for a CT scan.

We arrived early but were able to get in fairly quickly

The CT included having a line of fluid dripped into my veins. It went as is my typical fashion – on the third try, he managed to find a workable vein.

It was time to finish topping off the tank with gasoline. So a trip to the Murphy station at Walmart was called for. I saved thirteen cents a gallon over what is paid at H.E.B. earlier this week, which is why I only pumped a couple of gallons at H.E.B.

The pump was out of receipt paper or something malfunctioned that kept it from giving me a printed receipt. The cashier in the little office was able to print one for me though.

I Received a new INR testing meter. I tested for the first time in a few weeks. One point five means my blood clots a little too easily. I don’t want clots going through my veins – our worse yet – not going through the blood vessels. I don’t want an artery to become clogged.

Spaghetti boiling away in the smaller instapot.

Meat sauce cooked up in a cast iron skillet.

I took an unexpected and unexpectedly long nap this afternoon. I can relate to this baby.

FIRST FRIDAY POTLUCK AND GAME NIGHT AT OVER THE HILL

There was a lot more food put out after this photo was taken.
Twelve of us came together, ate, and shared stories. I think we all fell into a food coma. Nobody stayed to play games. The food and fellowship was enough to make it a good night.

Goodnight and God bless.
