🟠PILLS: I sorted three weeks worth of medications and supplements today. That exercise informed me that I need to order more supplements. The meds are on auto refill.
🟠BEST BY: While reorganizing the kitchen shelves, I stumbled upon six boxes of Mac and cheese. I decided to use this as a quick and easy lunch option. Following the instructions, I boiled six cups of water and added elbow macaroni. After it was cooked and drained, I added a quarter cup of milk, four tablespoons of butter, and the dry cheese packet. However, when I poured the cheese onto the macaroni, I noticed it wasn’t the usual bright yellow-orange color. Instead, it had a burnt orange tint. Curious, I checked the box’s best by date and found that it was October 2023. Despite its unusual color, I tasted it and found it to be okay. Ella and I ended up eating it for lunch, but I didn’t save any leftovers. It was a reminder to always check expiration dates, even on pantry items that seem like they last forever.
