This was another “Uncle Albert” do nothing day. Though I wasn’t at all tired, I took a nearly two hour long nap – just out of boredom.
We did play several rounds of Fast Track today. I believe that Ella was the over all winner 🏆.

As amazing as the sunset as to see, the northwestern sky about a half hour later was also beautiful.

God bless and g’nite

2020 November 13 Fog & Frybread

Friday

Welcome, family and friends, to our daily journal. Share it with your friends. It is a way of remembrance for us and a point of contact for you.

No sunrise through the clouds and fog, it was just a lot of gray on gray alli through the morning. The day started off chilly and breezy so the door remained shut until around ten o’clock. After that we had the door open until about three. By then the sun had come out and was pumping heat through our west facing windows. Those shades were dropped, the door shut and the a/c on.

Fry bread Friday. Because the day began bleak and chilled, I first thought that I would bake some bread. But Ella had purchased a large loaf of bread when she. picked up her meds the other day. So I decided to make frybread instead. We are some with honey as a midmorning snack. Our late lunch was spaghetti with meat sauce. The fry bread went well with that also. I may pop a couple in the toaster tomorrow morning – just to warm them, for breakfast.

God bless and g’nite

It was extremely overcast. The hills in the distance were lorry in a haze.

We drove to Leigha’s to pick up the rest of our laundry from earlier this week. Previously it wasn’t dry so we left it in the dryer and came home.

We had gas station pizza for lunch. $10 will feed us twice.

This is one game of Fast Track. In the top photo Ella has 2 markers in home and another ready to go in and her fourth in play. Tom had one in home and one in play, with 2 not on the board. And yet, Tom won the game. With this game you never know until it’s over.

Not a very picturesque morning. The critters were out in their pen today.

  • We went to Adam and Leigha’s for supper. We did laundry also. But But the main reason we went was so that they could sit in on a Zoom meeting with an insurance broker who specializes in medicare supplement plans.
  • The better part of 2 hours of general information, when what we really wanted was for him to suggest a plan that best meet our needs. Not quite a complete waste of time — but dern close.

The sun was setting as we drive into town. So I got this shot in the side mirror..

2020 November 08 ER Trip

Sunday

Breezy is the password for today. The metal Venetian blinds were click clanking against the window starring very early this morning.

Last night the sky was very clear and filled with stars. That is one of the advantages of country living, a beautiful star filled sky. However, the clouds have moved in and now own the heavens.I found this cartooncartoon.that I drew back in 2012.We attended live church at Cross Tracks this morning. I did the greeting, announcements, and opening prayer. Also I read the Scripture doors today. Later I also prayed over the offering.

Once worship was over, we went to the Emergency Room. I had become very concerned with the bouts of vertigo. I wanted to eliminate any serious underlying ailments. The EKG was find. So was the blood pressure. Likewise the CT scan of my brain. The blood work and urine sample were also good. I was told that the vertigo would gradually get better. But, if it doesn’t, go to an Eat, Nose, and Throat specialist.Registration at the ER was via robot. Well, there was a live person on the other end of the connection – or an AI that passed the Turing test.I couldn’t help but think of Sheldon’s robot pin the Big Bang Theory. It was after three o’clock when were released from the ER. We hadn’t had lunch so we purchased some southern fried catfish at Golden Chick. We drove to Wal-Mart, found a shady spot, and say in our truck and ate.By the time we finished lunch, the prescriptions we ready. We parked and called in. They brought the meds out to us.I was bushed by the time we made it home. I immediately took a nap. Before long, it was bed time.God bless and g’nite

  • I’m not taking any more of the pills I got from the pharmacy yesterday. I woke early this morning and rolled over. I became so dizzy that I felt as though I was falling, even though I was lying flat on my back on bed.
  • After the spell had subsided, I got up and headed toward the bathroom. Once again vertigo hit me. I had a hold of the door and leaned against the wall.
  • Once finished in the bathroom, I made it back to bed as things began to spin again. Several more bouts of dizziness occurred before morning came.
  • I’m glad that I don’t also suffer from motion sickness.
  • So, no more puff those pain pills for me. The pain in my back is more acceptable than the spinning I my head.

“Dizzy”

I’m so dizzy, my head is spinning

Like a whirlpool, it never ends

And it’s you, girl, making it spin

You’re making me dizzy

First time that I saw you, girl, I knew that I just had to make you mine

But it’s so hard to talk to you with fellas hanging round you all the time

I want you for my sweet pet

But you keep playing hard to get

Going around in circles all the time

Dizzy

I’m so dizzy, my head is spinning

Like a whirlpool, it never ends

And it’s you, girl, making it spin

You’re making me dizzy

I finally got to talk to you and I told you just exactly how I felt

Then I held you close to me and kissed you and my heart began to melt

Girl, you’ve got control of me

‘Cause I’m so dizzy I can’t see

I need to call a doctor for some help

Dizzy

I’m so dizzy, my head is spinning

Like a whirlpool, it never ends

And it’s you, girl, making it spin

You’re making me dizzy

My head is spinning

Like a whirlpool, it never ends

And it’s you, girl, making it spinYou’re making me dizzy

We drove to Florence Texas to look at an apartment and to determine drive time and distance. We had not contracted the manager, so were not expecting to get in to see the apartment and we didn’t.

The exterior of the buildings and grounds were night kept. The place appeared peacefully set in a neighborhood in a small town.

God bless and g’nite

.Mostly cloudy. Yep! Got that right. Master of fact, I’d go so far as to say “completely overcast”. What a dirty, charcoal smudged sky, like a wool blanket that has been through a fire.

  • Too late yesterday, I received a text from Wal-Mart pharmacy that my prescription was ready. I hadn’t realized that the doctor had placed an order for medications.
  • Because we were going to Wal-Mart for the drugs, I ordered some groceries to be picked up along with the meds.
  • We also filled the pickup’s gas tank while we were out and about.

The pills make we drowsy. So I am done writing for today..

God bless and g’nite

Quite a bit warmer this morning. Nor quite daylight and nearly 60 degrees. Was a bit warmer during the day also, at 80°..I wasn’t thinking ahead about the ham juices or I would have made grits to go with the red eye gravy. However, the eggs cooked in the liquid were very tasty. At the doctor’s office to hopefully get relief for my back pain. I got a shot in my hip — which seemed a bit off point, since the pain was higher and a quartet turn to the back. From the local doctor, I was sent to have an crass x-ray. Seven x-rays actually. They are trying to eliminate any abnormalities in the spine that could be causing the pain.On a health related item, my Covid-19 test came back negative. Yay! The test proves I am well enough to be Santa.

I got out of bed too early too see the sunrise. But was too tired to wait for it. I went back to bed. If you look way down at the bottom of the post, you’ll see that I was awake very early for awhile. I was tired, so back to bed I went. I next was up between 9:30 and 10.

There is some ground fog to go with the haze.

We played many games of Fast Track today. And that’s about all we did.

The camera automatically darkened because I was shooting into the sun. Usually I adjust it to look more like what the eye sees. However, this was so striking, that I just left it alone.

The Bell Choir can’t really play bells and be six feet apart.

Our choir practice was done with masks and closer to 10 feet apart during practice.
