Welcome, family and friends to our daily journal. Share it with your friends. It is a way of remembrance for us and a point of connection for you.
The first stop this morning was Burger King inside Wal-Mart. There are no booths at which we may sit. They’re all blocked off. We stand in a corner and eat.
Our second stop for the day was for me to get my eyes checked at A+Eye Care inside Wal-Mart. I was the first appointment for the day. I arrived a few minutes ahead of the receptionist who was a few minutes ahead of the doctor.
I placed my chin and forehead onto the first machine, which took pictures of the interior of my eyes. Then on to the second machine for puffs of air onto the eyes. Them into the next room. Read the bottom line. Which outs better one or two, of or two?
I need a slightly stronger prescription for both the near and far portions of my bifocals.
Third stop on our list was shopping for frames and ordering glasses inside Wal-Mart. Yes, the new glasses will look nearly identical to the old pair. I like the aviator style glasses. After all, Santa flys his own aircraft.
Ella got a hair cut while I was picking frames. She didn’t need a haircut she just needed somewhere to sit. 😀
The fourth stop was to pick up groceries OUTSIDE Wal-Mart. Easy peasy. Pull up and park, tell the app that I’m in spot number 2 and it’s a gray vehicle. Or comes a Wal-Mart employee pulling a wagon stacked with blue totes. They load the sacks into the back seat. “Have a nice day.” And we’re on our way home.
Once home , we totted everything inside and put it away.
Lunch was a tuna sandwich and slices of kiwi and tangerine.
Then it was nap time.
- God bless and g‘day.
