- We have plenty of food. We even have plenty of oatmeal. Today however, I dipped into our emergency food supply from 4 Patriots to fix some cinnamon sugar oatmeal, just because it is so good.
Nye Family Reunion August 2, 2014
Ella, Betty, Mary, and Hazel
Plenty of food.
Lining up for food.
Plenty of room to play outside at Cutty’s Des Moines Campground.
Plenty of time to visit with family.
Nye Family Reunion 2020 was planned. The date and location was chosen and everyone was notified. Then — well, you know what happened. “In late December 2019, several cases of pneumonia of unknown origin were reported from China, which in early January 2020 were announced to be caused by a novel coronavirus. The virus was later denominated severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) and defined as the causal agent of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19).” https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/
Yes, the corona virus pandemic swept all the way from China to put the kibosh on our plans.
- If you’ve been following this blog, you will remember when we installed the portable air conditioner. You may also recall that we vented it out a ceiling vent in the shower. It was held in place with duct tape. The tape proved to be inadequate for the job.
- This morning, I screwed a couple of strips of lath across the cushion and into the ceiling. I’m loath to screw anything into the ceiling for a temporary project. (We WILL repair the ducted a/c as soon as parts can be found) However, I saw no other viable options.
- Thanks again for stopping by. Share this with your friends. See y’all again tomorrow. Stay safe. Remember, we love you.
- God bless and g’day.
