2020 August 08 10 Piggies

Saturday

Welcome, family and friends, to Our Daily Journal, a remembrance for us, and a point of contact for you.

Share it with your friends.

  • It’s Saturday night again

It showed up without any shame*

Why are there ten little piggies here?

  • I asked Ella to check my hearing aids batteries for a size number. My hands shake so much that I feared sending the tiny batteries flying across the room.
  • She said she would, if I would check the bottom of her feet for anything unusual.
  • I took photos so that I could enlarge. I don’t see anything. Do you?

On a related note:

  • Neither of us we’re able to determine a size number for the hearing aid battery.
  • I am in need of batteries for both the left an right aids, even though I use the left one less often. When I use my wear buds while watching YouTube etc., I generally use them only in my left (better) ear. I’ll have the hearing aid I the right ear. That allows me to hear Ella without taking the ear buds off and going “Huh?”
  • Peaceful Day of Rest

I can’t say that we rested from our labors, for there’s been nothing that could honestly be called labor for some time now now.

  • I emptied the holding tanks and made a couple of cuts in a board for a sink cover. Let’s see, what else? Oh, I proof read my sermon for September 13th. Be that as it may, we rested.

Thanks again for stopping by. Share this with your friends. See y’all again tomorrow. Stay safe. Remember, we love you.

  • God bless and g’day.

I did a lot of walking today. However, I had put my fitness watch on to charge before seven this morning, and then forgot about it until I was getting ready for bed. Opps!

*Saturday Night Again

It’s Saturday night again
It showed up without any shame
All the dogs are missing masters
And the cats are on the town
There ain’t heaven here to rain on this parade
Now do you want dignity
Or do you want love?

Go ahead and want both but you only get one
You embarrass as fast as a bullet from a gun
Staring down the barrel of a name brand tongue
It’s Saturday night again
It started over
Ignoring Sunday morning’s advice
If I’ve got anything to say,
You’ve got to be coming home with me tonight
Alright, alright
Let’s make the same mistakes in a brand new place tonight
Because it’s Saturday night
Let’s make the same mistakes in a brand new place tonight
Because it’s Saturday night
Tonight it’s just wolves dressed as wolves
The kind that get mistaken for sheep
They’re all whispering their rumors
They sing just like secrets
Just not the kind you’d ever want to keep
Did anyone say that this was a game?
No? Then why do I need to take sides?
So bartender, fill me up
Cause I’m so sick of being la la la la loved
It’s Saturday night again
It started over
Ignoring Sunday morning’s advice
If I’ve got anything to say,
You’ve got to be coming home with me tonight
Alright, alright
Let’s make the same mistakes in a brand new place tonight
Because it’s Saturday night
Let’s make the same mistakes in a brand new place tonight
Because it’s Saturday night
She’s got your number
And you’ve got her scent
She left it on your collar
But you don’t know where she went
It’s the ghost of a good time
You carry around
A little artificial like the confidence you found
When it was Saturday night again
It started over
Ignoring Sunday morning’s advice
If I’ve got anything to say
You’ve got to be coming home with me tonight
Alright, alright
Let’s make the same mistakes in a brand new place tonight
Because it’s Saturday night
Let’s make the same mistakes in a brand new place tonight
Because it’s Saturday night.
