🟠 BREAKFAST: This morning, my bride and I had a delicious and satisfying breakfast consisting of an English muffin, crispy bacon, a perfectly cooked egg, and some smashed potatoes. The combination of these simple yet flavorful ingredients created a breakfast that was both comforting and satisfying. A toasted English muffin added a slight crunch to the otherwise soft and fluffy texture. The bacon added a salty and savory element, while the sunny side up egg added protein and richness. The smashed potatoes added a nice contrast in texture and also provided a hearty and filling component to the meal. Overall, this breakfast was the perfect way to start our day and we thoroughly enjoyed it.

🟠 DELIVERYS: Ella had intended to order a TV stand. She ordered 2 and they both arrived. I ordered a massive grocery order from Walmart and it arrived around 8:00 this morning. We weren’t out of bed yet. Fridays and Saturdays we seldom have anywhere to go so they are “lie in bed days”. We arose and made quick work of putting the groceries away.

🟠 COOKING: I started breakfast and lunch as I needed bacon for both. While breakfast cooked I shredded five nice golden potatoes, skin and all. We are having potato chowder for lunch. I’m making enough that I’ll have left over as the base for corn chowder on Sunday. Nice thick and creamy potato chowder is even better with a big glob of sour cream stored in at the last minute.

🟠ASSEMBLY: I REALLY dislike furniture that has to be assembled.

Ella is as delighted over the packing material as she is about the stand. It’ll be for crafts. Honestly so am I – exactly as delighted. I don’t want ANY of it. I’m not even in favor of having a TV. We’ve had it since we moved on April first and it’s never been plugged in. If I had my wish I’d donate it to the next Second-Hand Saturday exchange. But I wasn’t consulted about the TV or the stand(s).

It’s done. I only had to take it apart a couple of times to turn a part around or rightside up. I guess we now need to buy an antenna and remote. Then she’ll try to convenience me to get cable … just you wait and see.
