⚪ Ella spent a good portion of the day sorting meds. That’s something I need to do also. One little slip and bottles rolled. Thank God they weren’t open.

⚪ O’REILLY’S:  I needed antifreeze and a funnel, so I drove the short three-tenths of a mile to the store and back, stopping at our mailbox on the way home. It was a simple errand, but I had intended to take care of the car as soon as I returned. The radiator was still too hot to open safely, though, so I decided not to remove the cap or pour in the fluid. I knew that opening a hot radiator could be dangerous, and waiting for the engine to cool was the sensible thing to do. I figured I would come back to it in a little while, once everything had cooled down enough. Then I got distracted by the rest of the day. The antifreeze and funnel sat where I had left them, while the car remained untouched. I didn’t remember the radiator when I went about my other tasks, and the hours passed without my noticing. By the time I finally thought of it again, it was already dark outside. I had meant to wait only until the engine cooled, but I ended up forgetting about the job altogether until the evening. The errand itself had been quick, and stopping at the mailbox had taken only a moment, yet I still hadn’t completed the main thing I had set out to do. I would have to return to it later, when I could see what I was doing and make sure the engine was completely cool. For now, the antifreeze remained unused, and I was left wishing I had remembered sooner. Tomorrow before we leave for church … if I remember.
