Ella went to the dentist again this morning. She was scheduled for a possible root canal. However it proved unnecessary and a temporary crown was applied instead. She will return in January for a permanent crown.

Homemade broccoli cheese soup sure did taste good for lunch. Only problem is, I made too much. I’ve been feeling pretty good about my ability to make enough for two without adding leftovers to the refrigerator. Today I made enough for three generous servings.

Ella said she may cook some macaroni and use the leftover broccoli cheese as sauce for the pasta. That sounds good. I’m a real fan of repurposing leftovers rather than regretting them.

Barry Gribble came knocking on our door this afternoon. We met him our first year at Cutty’s Camping Club in Iowa. He and his family are from this general area of Texas. He has moved back to Texas from Iowa and is living on his brother’s ranch. He has been driving past here for some time now. Today he decided to stop and say hey. It it’s nice to see someone that was part of that camping club experience. We attended his wedding way back when and now he’s going through a divorce. He is also starting a new job and getting on with his life.
