💊 UROLOGY: When Ella was at the urologist the other day they gave her a refill on her prescription. When it was filled she noticed that the label instructed one a day whereas it has always been two a day. Having been unable to reach anyone by phone we drove by to the office t get it straightened out.

🍜LUNCH: For our midday meal, I decided to add some extra flavor and texture to our leftover potato chowder. I crisped and crumbled 5 more strips of thick cut bacon and mixed in a can of corn to the chowder. The sizzling sound of the bacon as it cooked on the stove filled the kitchen with a mouth-watering aroma. As I added the corn to the chowder, the bright yellow kernels added a pop of color to the creamy white soup. The combination of the crispy bacon and sweet corn added a delicious depth of flavor to the chowder, making it even more satisfying and hearty. With each spoonful, we savored the smokiness of the bacon and the sweetness of the corn, making this simple lunch a truly satisfying and delicious meal.

🚘 AUTOMOTIVE: This morning, I woke up with the intention of topping off the radiator in our little car. As I reached for the cap, my hands were shaky and I accidentally dropped it into the car. Thankfully, it didn’t fall far and I was able to spot it easily. Despite my initial success, I managed to drop it again, this time out of sight. Frustrated and in a bit of pain from squeezing my hand between various car parts, I gave up and drove to the nearby O’Reilly’s Auto Parts to purchase a new cap and a gallon of premixed antifreeze. After filling the radiator and putting on the new cap, I decided to drive across the street to the car wash to clean off the dirt, dust and bird droppings that had accumulated on my car. Parking under a tree may provide great shade, but it also comes with a constant tax in the form of bird droppings. Nevertheless, with a clean car and a functioning radiator, I was ready to start my day with peace of mind.
🃏 CANASTA: Maria and Ann played against Ruby and Linda, as well as Ella and I. We won.
